About the Oporto Bondi & Bolas Box
Two of Oporto's best known things share this box: a single burger and a small serve of spicy chicken bolas. The official description names the Bondi Burger, and the menu data shows three burger choices: Single Bondi Burger, Single Oprego Burger and Single Otropo Burger. Regular Chips and a 375ml drink complete the order, so the box covers a burger, a snack, a side and a drink for one person. The box carries a starting price because the burger you choose changes the total. Nothing else needs adding for a full meal.
Oporto describes the bolas as spicy chicken bolas, which gives the box a bit of heat next to the burger. The Bondi Burger shares its name with the suburb where the first Oporto opened in 1986. Swap to the Oprego if you lean toward Prego flavours, or to the Otropo, which carries the most energy of the three in our data. The total of 5,648 kJ is for the box as listed. It suits a solo dinner or a hungry teenager after sport. Oprego fans should note it carries almost the same energy as the Bondi version in our data. Bolas are also easy to share with someone in the passenger seat.
Prefer crispy strips over bolas? Antonio's Where it all Began Box pairs a Double Bondi Burger with two crispy strips. For a flame grilled twist on the burger and chips idea, Antonio's Best of Both Box adds a piece of Portuguese chicken instead of bolas. Want only flame grilled chicken? The Quarter Chicken Box covers that for $17.00.
How to order the Bondi & Bolas Box
Pick your burger first. The Single Bondi Burger and Single Oprego Burger versions sit at the starting price of from $18.40, and the Single Otropo Burger version costs a little more at our base store. Then choose a 375ml drink. With chips and a drink already in the box, a Make it a Meal upgrade does not apply. Our data also gives it no Late Night Menu flag.
The Bondi & Bolas Box is not listed on Oporto's allergen chart. Check your chosen burger, the bolas and the chips separately on the chart, or ask in store.
