Cookie Policy
Effective October 2026. This page explains the cookies and browser storage used on OportoMenu.au and how to manage them. Independent site. Not affiliated with Oporto or Craveable Brands.
Ad cookies
Google AdSense uses cookies to show and measure ads. You control personalisation.
Security cookies
Cloudflare sets small cookies to keep the site fast and block bad traffic.
Your saved stuff
Favourites and meal plans sit in localStorage on your device, never on our servers.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site recall settings, keep traffic secure and help advertisers measure their ads. Browser localStorage works in a similar way but stays on your device and is not sent with each page request.
Cookies and storage we use
Necessary cookies: Cloudflare, our hosting provider, sets cookies that help block automated attacks and keep pages loading quickly. The site does not work properly without them, so they cannot be switched off through our pages.
Ad cookies: Google AdSense and its partners set cookies to show ads, cap how often you see the same ad, measure results and prevent fraud. With your consent where required, these cookies also personalise ads based on your browsing across this site and others.
Analytics: Cloudflare's analytics counts visits and popular pages in aggregate. We use the numbers to see which menu pages and menu tools people find useful.
Browser storage: our tools save favourites, meal plans, kJ goals and settings in localStorage. We cannot read this data and it never reaches our servers.
Your cookie choices
Turn off personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of some third party advertising cookies at aboutads.info. Ads still appear after you opt out, but they no longer follow your interests.
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and site data in its settings. If you block all cookies, some features break, and clearing site data wipes your saved favourites and plans on this site. Private browsing windows discard cookies and localStorage when you close them.
Changes and questions
We update this policy when the services we use change, and the effective date shows the latest version. Our privacy policy covers how the data from these cookies is handled. Questions about cookies go to info@oportomenu.au, and the FAQs cover the rest of the site.
